7-Zip 4.15 - a very good archiver has been updated. 7-Zip's main feature - it has it's own 7z format which packs better that WinRAR in some cases. 7-Zip supports following formats: zip (packs 2-10% better than WinZIP), rar, cab, gzip, bzip2 and tar. 7-Zip can be used from console, there're plugins for FAR, Total Commander.

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio.
Compression ratio in the new 7z format is 30-50% better than ratio in ZIP format.
