Skype 1.0.0.94 - new version of the free program, which allows to voice communicate over the internet (though it supports short message service). THe network is based on peer-to-peer routing technology. All information sent is being encoded. It doesn't require high-speed internet connection - the sound quality is acceptable even on dial-up.

Skype works with all firewalls, NAT and routers without configuring. Skype has it's own list of the subscribers. All chats are ehciphered.

| Opera 8.0 Beta 1 has been released. Developers has increased the speed and enhanced the usability. Opera 8.0 Beta 1 has now voice control through standard Speech API Windows 2000/XP. Opera 8.0 also has a pretty useful feature: Fit to Window Width. When you enable it you won't see horizontal scroll bar any more. The browser replaces long images with text, decreases font size etc. Opera 8.0 Beta 1 also has enhanced RSS, useful Start Bar.
